WHY I STUDIED ENTREPRENEURSHIP
One reason people become entrepreneurs, or are otherwise entrepreneurial in nature, is that these are the people who choose themselves. What I mean is they don’t wait for others to choose them. They don’t wait for someone else to give them a raise or a promotion. They don’t sit and hope that someone else will promote their ideas or pursue their goals for them. They don’t neglect to build trust and rapport with clients and do everything they can to serve their needs. I chose to major in entrepreneurship at the University of St. Thomas because I try to choose myself, to be the one who helps make things happen, in any environment or set of circumstances.
WHY I WENT TO LAW SCHOOL
Law school was the highest level of professional education that fit my skill set as someone who has always been interested in reading and writing. For me, law school wasn’t necessarily the path to traditional law practice. And, true to my gut, though I took and passed the bar exam and became a licensed attorney in Minnesota, after graduation I began working in sales, which I enjoyed. Then I moved into marketing and advertising, which I enjoy even more. In my current role as a strategist, I help my team craft and execute digital marketing campaigns for some of the most prominent lawyers in the country.
